The Association of the Egyptian Female Lawyers holds a workshop about “Time Management and Strategic Planning”

Coinciding with the start of implementing the activities of the project “Political Cadres School” with partner organizations, the Association of the Egyptian Female Lawyers (AEFL) has started the plan of capacity building and developing the institutional skills of its staff. This comes in the context of cooperation between AEFL and Diakonia so that AEFL can achieve its strategic goals during the coming five years which comes in coinciding with the amendments of NGOs law and issuing of executive regulation of the law no. 149 of 2019.

The program of time management and strategic planning was implemented to put a strategic plan for the association to achieve its expected strategic goals during the coming five years. The training program was attended by the both the executive and administrative staff.

In addition, the training targeted specific results, the most important of which were defining time management and how to plan time.

The training workshop lasted for two days for AEFL staff and partner organizations as the trainees were trained by the lawyer and training expert Mr. Ehab Salam and the strategic plan was put by Dr. RafiqRamzy.

Ms. RabhaFathy, a lawyer and the chairperson of AEFL, has declared that this workshop comes in the context of the assessment plan of Diakonia as the staff need time management training and build the capacities of employees in AEFL and partner organizations. Ms. Fathy added that the training program tackled topics related to time management the most important of which were planning and organizing time, effective negotiation, obstacles related to time management, evaluation and following up, reanalyzing time and how to document activities especially within what’s the country passing by regarding COVID-19 crisis.

It is worth mentioning that the project “Political Cadres School” aims at raising the capacities of women to effectively participate in elected local councils, working upon supporting institutional capacities of NGOs, strengthening gender equality concept and include it in work strategies of

 

NGOs work and provide opportunities for female lawyers to make decisions and influence sub-syndicates to have a shift in political participation for women from representation to empowerment then to influence and decision making by the end of 2025.
