{"id":145,"date":"2015-11-16T22:20:43","date_gmt":"2015-11-16T19:20:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aeflwomen.com\/en\/?p=145"},"modified":"2015-11-16T22:20:43","modified_gmt":"2015-11-16T19:20:43","slug":"association-of-the-egyptian-female-lawyers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aeflwomen.com\/en\/association-of-the-egyptian-female-lawyers","title":{"rendered":"Association of the Egyptian Female Lawyers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aeflwomen.com\/en\/about-us\/\">Association of the Egyptian Female Lawyers<\/a> (AEFL) is a registered NGO with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity (#3236) with the mission of activating women\u2019s political participation and supporting women\u2019s legal and political rights that approved by national law and international conventions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vision:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AEFL is seeking to create Egyptian women who can defend their rights and work to spread values of gender equality, justice, and freedom within Egyptian society through awareness programs, research studies and networking with governmental and non governmental institutions concerned with women issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mission:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AEFL works towards spreading the values of gender equality, justice, and freedom within Egyptian society, encouraging girls and ladies to get their political, social and legal rights through achieving the following goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Empower women to defend their political, legal, and social rights.<\/li>\n<li>Raise awareness of women\u2019s political status and the importance of activating their role within Egyptian society.<\/li>\n<li>Build a strong front of female lawyers who are qualified and involved in both political and public life.<\/li>\n<li>Raise awareness of the international conventions and instruments protecting human, particularly women\u2019s, rights in order to change the culture of the community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>AEFL\u2019s policies for working are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide services for women in general and female lawyers in particular within the Lawyers Syndicate and its branches in five governorates (Giza, Beni Swif, El-Manya, Qena, and Aswan). These services will ensure women\u2019s freedom from gender discrimination, regardless of the economic, political, social conditions that they are living in.<\/li>\n<li>AEFL believes in a woman\u2019s right to hold any organizational position, as stated in their developmental and human rights plans.<\/li>\n<li>AEFL\u2019s work focuses on the principle of transparency for better performance and permanent success and superiority.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Members of AEFL: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The General Assembly of AFFL is 96 female members representatives from five governorates (Giza, Beni Swif, El-Manya, Qena, Aswan).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Board of Directors: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AEFL has a Board of Directors which includes 9 female members representing five governorates (Giza, Beni Swif, El-Manya, Qena, and Aswan).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internal Administration of AEFL: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AEFL has a guideline of policies and procedures, which organize and guide the administrative and financial work within the association, the relation between manger and executive directors, and the relationship between the association and other organizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Implemented activities were carried out by AEFL: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Join the membership of the solidarity for African women rights (SOAWR).<\/li>\n<li>A network was formed in the targeted governorates.
