Association\u00a0<\/strong>of the Egyptian Female Lawyers (AEFL) is <\/span>a registered NGO with
\nthe Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity (#3236) with the mission of
\nactivating women\u2019s political participation and supporting women\u2019s legal and
\npolitical rights that approved by national law and international conventions.<\/span><\/div>\n
\n

Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n

AEFL works towards spreading the values of gender
\nequality, justice, and freedom within Egyptian society, encouraging girls and
\nladies to get their political, social and legal rights through achieving the
\nfollowing goals:<\/p>\n

1)
\nEmpower
\nwomen to defend their political, legal, and social rights.<\/p>\n

2)
\nRaise
\nawareness of women\u2019s political status and the importance of activating their
\nrole within Egyptian society.<\/p>\n

3)
\nBuild a
\nstrong front of female lawyers who are qualified and involved in both political
\nand public life.<\/p>\n

4)
\nRaise
\nawareness of the international conventions and instruments protecting human,
\nparticularly women\u2019s, rights in order to change the culture of the
\ncommunity.<\/p>\n

AEFL\u2019s policies for working
\nare as follows:<\/p>\n

Provide
\nservices for women in general and female lawyers in particular within the
\nLawyers Syndicate and its branches in five governorates (Giza, Beni Swif,
\nEl-Manya, Qena, and Aswan). These services will ensure women\u2019s freedom from
\ngender discrimination, regardless of the economic, political, social conditions
\nthat they are living in.<\/p>\n

AEFL
\nbelieves in a woman\u2019s right to hold any organizational position, as stated in
\ntheir developmental and human rights plans.<\/p>\n

AEFL\u2019s
\nwork focuses on the principle of transparency for better performance and
\npermanent success and superiority.<\/p>\n

Members\u00a0of AEFL<\/strong><\/p>\n

The
\nGeneral Assembly of AFFL is 96 female members representatives from five
\ngovernorates (Giza, Beni Swif, El-Manya, Qena, Aswan).<\/p>\n

Board
\nof Directors:<\/strong><\/p>\n

AEFL has a Board of Directors which includes 9
\nfemale members representing five governorates (Giza, Beni Swif, El-Manya, Qena,
\nand Aswan).<\/p>\n

Internal
\nAdministration of AEFL:<\/strong><\/p>\n

AEFL
\nhas a guideline of policies and procedures, which organize and guide the
\nadministrative and financial work within the association, the relation between
\nmanger and executive directors, and the relationship between the association
\nand other organizations.<\/p>\n

Implemented
\nactivities were carried out by AEFL:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1)
\nJoin the
\nmembership of the solidarity for African women rights (SOAWR).<\/p>\n

2)
\nA network was
\nformed in the targeted governorates. This network works through monthly
\nmeetings in the headquarters of the association in Cairo.<\/p>\n

3)
\nEstablishing
\nlegal units for supporting Egyptian women and providing legal assistance in
\nframework of the project was funded by MAMA Cash institution.<\/p>\n

4)
\nPreparing a
\nstudy about sexual harassment in Cairo governorate.<\/p>\n

5)
\nBuilding the
\ncapacities for female candidates to fight last parliamentary election.<\/p>\n

6)
\nIssuing a
\nbrochure entitled \u201cWomen Voting is their Voices\u201d to identify women
\nwith the steps of voting during the electorate process.<\/p>\n

7)
\nConfiguring good
\nrelationships with governmental and non governmental institutions concerned
\nwith women and family issues.<\/p>\n

8)
\nAEFL comprises a
\nfemale lawyer team at a high level of experience and efficiency.<\/p>\n
